No Need to Fix
Doodle Notes
“You are not here to shape the world by force.
You are here to move with it.
To listen to its rhythm.
And to know when to loosen your hand.”
- ShaoLan -
I started the summer by reading ShaoLan’s The Strategy of No Strategy which speaks about Tao the Ching. I enjoyed how it made me sigh with relief and really, let my life flow with more ease.
I was once again reminded how one of the ways we block the flow is to constantly try to fix and control things (that most likely don’t even need fixing or controlling).
May this be an invitation to trust that sometimes things have a path that is out of our control, no matter how hard we try to fix them.
ShaoLan asks us to take a moment to reflect on this question:
What am I gripping that no longer wants to be held?
In this doodle, we could assume that Mira had been wanting something from the world that it couldn’t offer. It was a looong push and pull and struggle to get here, but this is the moment when Mira connects with her heart and remembers to look at the world differently.
The world is filled with beauty and love, greatness and kindness.
And you can replace the world with anything you try to control and fix. Love is inherent in everything!
I’m curious to find out what would happen if...?
Have an Wonderfilled Fortnight!
Peace, Love, Light & Laughter,
P.S.
I just finished crocheting this gorgeous set of phoenix wings that I’m very happy with!
Now, I’m all ready for autumn and new adventures!
This beautiful crochet pattern is from Etsy. Yarn from lankaleipomo (Yarn Bakery), in my own selection of colors (4-ply, 1600 m). They bake each yarn cake on order, so any color combination is possible!
